VoxAMATA is a week-long academy for dedicated amateur choral singers. You will be able to work with inspired and experienced choir directors and voice trainers There is also, should you desire, the option of having your own individual voice lessons from one of our singing teachers. This years programme concentrates mostly on British and American Composers with a varied settings of English, Latin and Bulgarian texts. You will sing beautiful and imaginative British folksong arrangements, Latin Motets by Elgar and the up-tempo, jazz music of George Gershwin. Because the course is in the elegant and attractive town of Ruse in Bulgaria we have included three easy arrangements of Bulgarian folksongs to give you that local flavour!
The rehearsal week will be completed with an attractive array of trips and guided tours to the spectacular surroundings of Ruse. The social programme is completely at the participants’ choice and open to their significant others as well.

The total cost for the full project is €980 p.P.. It includes the course fee, accommodation in selected hotels (SR with breakfast), airport transfers, and the cost for the festive dinner after the final concert. Significant others of participating members are welcome as well and will be able to benefit from the special hotel package deals.
We recommend traveling to Ruse via Bucharest or Varna.
In addition to VoxAMATA, the 2020 edition of the Allegra Festival will feature the second edition of the orchestra project OrchestrAMATA. Collaborations between the two ensembles are being planned for the future.
